TAD Contractors
Who is TAD?

Affiliate Contractor Qualification - Vetting:

TAD Affiliate Contractors are highly qualified professional writers and publication professionals.  Many come to the freelance life through work in the media, government, associations, advertising, public relations, or technical professions. A number are published book authors.

Before acceptance into the TAD program, each Assignment Desk contractor is extensively vetted.   Their body of work in each discipline is evaluated by both TAD personnel and outside evaluators.  Business references are checked.  An in-depth interview is held.  Personal references are double-checked to assure that this is someone with whom you will be comfortable working.

Affiliate Contactors participate in the bid process.   They guarantee that the agreed to time estimate  is accurate within 10% of the final billing (barring substantial client changes to the original order).

Projects:

The Assignment Desk works on a wide array of finished products.   Simply, phone, fax, or email our offices and an Assignment Desk representative will work with you to define the specific work you need done, estimate your cost, and the time frame within which you project  can be completed.

Once your project is defined, the preliminaries are out of the way, and you have retained The Assignment Desk, TAD will search its extensive stable of qualified professionals to locate exactly the right person to accomplish your goal.  TAD maintains access to over 1500 writers in a wide variety of disciplines.

Writing projects can be very complex and frustrating.  The Assignment Desk serves as a buffer to smooth out some of the rough spots in the writer/client relationship. TAD backs up the writer to assure support and checks on the project for the client to report back progress.

TAD realizes that some revisions in any written material are inevitable.   At least a  second draft is included as part of all TAD contracts. Also included is use of an independent additional set of eyes to do a first edit before you ever see a draft.  TAD believes that among the worst things that can happen in any project is for there to be dumb grammatical, typographical, spelling, or style errors.   The extra set of eyes helps to reduce these kinds of problems.

Periodicals:

Need an article on a specific topic for your publication?  Give us the assignment. TAD probably has a contractor who has special expertise in that topic or subject area. Your story assignment will be finished with style, expertise, and on time.

All Assignment Desk stories for publication are delivered after a second set of eyeballs has done a first edit and eliminated the most glaring, and frustrating errors.
